About the Business
Chris Stubbs Electrical is a family run, electrical company based in both Bridport, Dorset and Axminster, Devon. Chris trained with the South Western Electricity Board (SWEB) and upon completion of his training became a member of the Westland Helicopters maintenance department. In 1982, during his employment with Westland Helicopters, Chris began to work independently outside of his full time position. This began with completing private work during evenings and weekends. In 1987, Chris left his position with Westlands Helicopters and established Chris Stubbs Electrical becoming self employed.
The business undertook both private contracts and also sub-contracted to a national communications, security and data company comprising a team of six engineers. In 2004 Chris' son, Ricky Stubbs, began an apprenticeship with Chris Stubbs Electrical which was completed in 2008 qualifying Ricky to work alongside Chris as part of the family business.
